Today I’m reviewing the men’s version of the WHITIN Minimalist Running Shoes.

This product review is 100% authentic and I have no relationship with the WHITIN company.

I’m just giving you my honest thoughts here.

Let’s get started…

My review of the WHITIN Men’s Minimalist Running Shoes after wearing them nearly every day for 2 months

I’m publishing this article on November 20th, 2020 and you can see from the screenshot above that I purchased and received these shoes on September 22nd, 2020.

So I’ve been wearing my WHITIN Minimalist Shoes for approximately two months now.

I paid $35.88 USD for the shoes.

Was it worth the price paid?

Yeah.

I’d buy another pair as long as the price remains below $40.00 USD.

These are comfortable, stretchy, minimalist shoes with a toe-box that is wide enough.

I wish the toe box was a little bit wider.

But I can still wiggle my toes in these shoes, and move them around freely, as long as I’m wearing ultra-thin socks.

You will definitely need to wear these shoes with ultra-thin socks or possibly without socks.

I tried wearing my WHITIN’s with cushioned socks, and the fit was too snug for my liking.

If you’re cool with wearing thin socks or no socks at all, WHITIN shoes are probably perfect any budget-minded person.

Pro tip: Believe it or not, my local Dollar Tree caries the best ultra-thin socks. There are large cases of these socks available on the Dollar Tree website. These cases contain a lot of socks. You’re probably better off visiting your local Dollar Tree to grab a few pairs of these sock at first, just to make sure you like them.

How does WHITIN compare to other minimalist shoes?

For roughly $35.00 you’re getting a good deal with these minimalist shoes.

I’ve spent multiple hours researching minimalist running shoes.

I’m an avid runner.

I love running.

And I really do love my WHITIN shoes.

But here’s something important to note:

Personally, I would not run in WHITIN shoes.

I don’t use my WHITIN’s as running shoes because I’m not sure if WHITIN shoes will actually hold up to jogging or light sprints.

I normally run on concrete.

Just to be safe, I use my WHITIN’s as casual slip-on minimalist shoes.

I wear my WHITIN’s for grocery shopping, driving, walking around outdoors, and lifting weights.

Yes, I know what you’re probably thinking…

WHITIN’s are labeled as minimalist barefoot running shoes. You must be able to run in them!

But you’re only paying around $35.00 for the shoes.

I just don’t see these shoes holding up well if you do any serious amount of running in these shoes.

I could be wrong about that, since I haven’t ran in my WHITEN’s before. I wouldn’t want to risk it.

I have two pairs of Altra running shoes that I use for 2-mile runs almost every day.

Altra shoes are priced anywhere from $100 to $150 and they are pro-quality running shoes.

If you are looking for a serious minimalist running shoe, I would recommend Altra.

If you are looking for a casual minimalist walking shoe, I would recommend WHITIN.

If you’re like me, you’ll just go ahead and buy both WHITIN and Altra shoes, because both of these shoes work great for different purposes.

My thoughts on the sizing of WHITIN Minimalist Shoes

I ordered a size 9 of the WHITIN Men’s Cross-Trainer Minimalist Shoe in the black and gold color.

In my case, these shoes have been true to size.

These shoes have also stretched and molded to my feet over time.

After 2 months of wearing my WHITIN’s, the shoes feel much more comfortable today compared to when I first bought them.

I think this is normal. Most shoes have a “break-in period” where they feel a little bit rigid at first.

Luckily, WHITIN shoes seem to get more comfortable over time.

Over the course of my lifetime, I’ve had to return many different pairs of shoes before, usually because the toe-box was way too tight.

For whatever reason, shoe companies love making shoes with tight toe boxes.

What I like most about WHITIN shoes is the wide toe box.

You can move your toes around freely.

If you’ve never worn a pair of shoes with a wide toe box before, you’re in for a real treat.

My final thoughts on WHITIN Minimalist Shoes

Overall, WHITIN shoes are a good deal for anyone looking for a comfortable, casual, minimalist shoe that holds up to everyday walking, lifting weights, or maybe light fitness routines.

While I wouldn’t use these shoes for intensive running, they’re only $35.00 USD, so I don’t think they’re meant to withstand hardcore exercising.

WHITIN shoes are affordable, comfortable and you can actually move your toes while wearing them.

Just remember to wear ultra-thin socks with WHITIN’s, because cushioned socks will probably make the fit too snug.

As a budget-priced pair of minimalist running shoes, I think grabbing a pair of WHITIN’s is a no-brainer.
