This article reflects my honest experience with using cool mist humidifiers to fight viruses, improve immune health, and protect my friends and family members. I’ve spent hours researching this topic. I guarantee this will be one of the most important articles you ever read if you’re interested in developing true immune health.

All medical sources are provided towards the bottom of this article.

If you have specific questions, I will do my best to help. However I strongly recommend you consult with a knowledgeable doctor in your area if you require guidance pertaining to your unique medical situation.

What is a cool mist humidifier?

A cool mist humidifier is a powerful device that can help people with lung conditions breathe more easily.

If you have a cough, you’re the ideal candidate for using a cool mist humidifier to eliminate your cough and feel better relatively quickly.

Even if you don’t have a cough, and you just want to protect yourself from viruses, colds, flus and similar health hazards – any ordinary adult can use a cool mist humidifier.

Note that a cool mist humidifiers are simply a delivery device.

Cool mist humidifiers convert liquid ingredients into a fine mist, and then deliver the fine mist into your respiratory system, blood, and your entire body as a whole.

While choosing a high-quality cool mist humidifier is definitely important – the ingredients that you use inside of your humidifier are far more important.

Why ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers are ideal

So far, we’ve talked about using a general cool mist humidifier to create a misty environment in your bedroom, home, office or anywhere you like.

Ideally, you’ll want to get an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier.

Ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers use ultrasonic frequencies to propel a fine mist into the atmosphere.

This is ideal because ultrasonic frequencies are above the frequency of audible sound.

In other words, ultrasonic frequencies are not audible. You can’t hear them at all.

This means you’ll be able to keep an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier running in your bedroom while you sleep.

Awesome right?

Note: I personally use a Holmes Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier. I purchased mine from Target. There are many different models available online via Amazon, Target, Walmart and Walgreens.

Why food-grade 3% hydrogen peroxide is the best ingredient to use in your cool mist humidifier

Entire books have been written on the powerful health benefits of hydrogen peroxide.

Consider this for example:

The chemical formula for water is H20. This is because each molecule of water contains one hydrogen atom and two oxygen atoms.

The chemical formula for hydrogen peroxide is H202. Hydrogen peroxide contains two atoms of hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen.

This means hydrogen peroxide is very similar to water, except that it contains an additional atom of oxygen.

When you use a small amount of 3% food-grade hydrogen peroxide diluted in distilled water – you’re getting a lot of extra oxygen in your system.

More than ever before, human beings are lacking oxygen.

According to the EPA, Americans spend approximately 90% of their life indoors.

If you spend the vast majority of your life indoors, there’s a very good chance you’re lacking oxygen right this second.

This means there’s a very good chance you will immediately feel the health benefits of using a high-quality form of 3% hydrogen peroxide in an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier.

You should only use distilled water with your ultrasonic cool mist humidifier.

Tap water contains too many impurities, and this is why it’s best to avoid consuming tap water in general.

The most simple ratio is one cup distilled water to 5-10 drops of 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide.

To keep things simple, I use about half a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide per cup of distilled water when I’m preparing my humidifier.

Please be aware of the enormous difference between 35% hydrogen peroxide and 3% hydrogen peroxide. 35% hydrogen peroxide should never be consumed. 35% hydrogen peroxide has to be diluted to 3% hydrogen peroxide before it can be consumed.

The cheap brown bottles of 3% hydrogen peroxide are commonly available in drug stores, but these technically aren’t food grade.

There have been reports of people consuming this cheap variety of 3% hydrogen peroxide without any serious issue.

However, your lungs are incredibly valuable, and I personally wouldn’t risk ingesting anything that isn’t rated as food grade.

It’s up to you to make the decision for yourself. Your health is in your own hands. Alternatively, you can always ask a trustworthy healthcare provider for further guidance.

How to clean your ultrasonic cool mist humidifier

You should dump water that has been cycled through your humidifier as soon as you’re finished.

Squirt a little bit of 3% hydrogen peroxide on the inner bowl of your humidifier, and rinse with a small amount of distilled water.

Then pat dry with a paper towel, and you’re good to go.

Closing notes

FYI, I’ve also had good luck using pure colloidal silver in my humidifier.

2 to 4 oz of pure colloidal silver works incredibly well for fighting viruses and supercharging your immune health.

We know this is true because silver is well-known for its antimicrobial properties.

However, colloidal silver is significantly more expensive than hydrogen peroxide, so it helps to purchase colloidal silver in bulk if you decide to go this route.

Colloidal silver is an entirely different subject that deserves its own article.

As of today, just know that using 3% food-grade hydrogen peroxide inside of your humidifier is one of the best-kept secrets in the world of natural health. Enjoy.
