I recently had the chance to try Nooma Mango and Nooma Chocolate Mint.
While both of these sports drinks can be summarized as a healthy alternative to Gatorade ~ I’m still going to give you my full Nooma review in today’s article.
Today’s review article delivers everything you need to know about drinking Nooma before, during and after your workouts.
What is Nooma exactly?
Just as the title of this article suggests, Nooma is a crisp and refreshing fitness beverage that you can genuinely feel good about drinking.
It’s like the healthy version of Gatorade.
Nooma is technically an organic electrolyte drink.
And Nooma is just about as healthy as it gets in the sugar-loaded sports drink department.
I like Nooma because it’s gone in the complete opposite direction of most sports drinks.
Nooma’s sugar content is extraordinarily low.
And as you may know, consuming too much sugar can potentially lead to inflammation and illness ~ which is why I definitely appreciate what Nooma is doing.
Mystic Future’s review of Nooma Mango
Nooma Mango works because it’s as light and refreshing as water, but with the subtle taste of mango flavor.
Nooma Mango’s flavor is not overpowering nor sweet, which I actually like.
For example, when I’m working out, pouring with sweat, the last thing I want to do is chug down is a heavy, sugary Gatorade.
Gatorade has always bloated my belly, and many athletes would probably agree.
Nooma’s light flavor and boost of electrolytes is exactly what your body needs, if you’re an athlete.
As you can see in the picture above, Nooma Mango contains 5 grams of sugar.
Avoiding sugar is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, because I feel better, think better, and live better when I’m not consuming much sugar.
I imagine you’ll feel the same way once you begin cutting sugar out of your diet, and replacing sugary beverages with Nooma.
Mystic Future’s review of Nooma Chocolate Mint
Nooma Chocolate Mint is my favorite Nooma beverage.
I like Nooma Chocolate Mint because it’s just different.
It tastes like a hint of dark chocolate blended with coconut water.
If you’ve ever tried ZICO Chocolate Flavored Coconut Water…that’s exactly what Nooma Chocolate Mint reminds me of.
With very low sugar content and a surge of electrolytes, again, you can’t go wrong with Nooma Chocolate Mint.
Nooma looks like coconut water.
But you can taste a nice infusion of flavor blended with the coconut water.
This is why I recommend drinking Nooma during your workouts.
For example, if you study Tom Brady’s plant-based diet, you’ll know Brady drinks a “special” electrolyte drink during football games.
He doesn’t drink Gatorade or any other sugar-loaded sports beverage.
In reality, Brady drinks electrolytes…which is exactly what you’re getting with Nooma.
Nooma review conclusion
It’s infinitely healthier than Gatorade.
And if you don’t like drinking sugary juices (like me), you’ll immediately realize Nooma tastes way better than Gatorade, too.
Nooma is an excellent alternative to sodas, Gatorade, sports drinks, coconut water and juices.
Give Nooma a try, and let me know your thoughts in the comments section below!
